Our workshops give you confidence to engage with and develop your garden and outdoor space. Details of the workshops on offer this year are below. There is a discount for booking on four or more workshops (see booking page). At each workshop a variety of plants will be available for purchase.

Thursday 18th April
DESIGNING PLANTING SCHEMES FOR YOUR SUMMER GARDEN AND POTS THAT LAST.
How to design or tweak the planting for summer borders. Learn how to decide on which plants, how many and where to put them for a border that displays rhythm and style with the right plants for the right place. This will also cover designing and planting pretty pots. As well as classroom time, we will walk around the garden and see how the principles work in practise.
This workshop runs from 10.00am to 12.30pm
It will be held in the garden and potting shed at Prospect House, Burton Leonard, HG3 3RS.
We will provide refreshments: tea, coffee and cake.
The course cost is £50.

Thursday 23th May
HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR BORDERS.
Chelsea chop time! How to make those borders flourish. Tips and tricks to include pruning, staking, cutting back, planting out annuals in the cut flower garden and feeding.
This workshop runs from 10.00am to 12.30pm

Thursday 20th June
PRUNING, POTS, AND POSIES
We will learn key pruning and plant training skills, and demonstrate these skills on early Spring flowering shrubs. We will also plant up a variety of pots for summer and collect a selection of flowers from the garden to make a posy to take away.
The workshop runs from 10.00am -12.30.
It will be held in the Potting shed and grounds of Prospect House, Burton Leonard. HG3 3RS
The course cost is £50.

TULIPS AT THE READY!
Autumn bulb time! Creating beautiful pots for the spring to come and creative combinations to brighten the doorstep on a winter's day. We will using seasonal bulbs, shrubs and perennials and demonstrating the ingredients for dazzling displays. There will be bulbs for sale on the day.
